Camanche Reservoir, site #128

Camanche Reservoir is located east of Lodi between Highways 12 and 88. This large reservoir attracts boaters and anglers from the region and has two large campgrounds as well as a motel, cabins and an RV park. The marina offers a general store, coffee shop and boat rentals (only fishing or patio boats). Fish include bass, trout, crappie, sturgeon, bluegill, sunfish, catfish and carp. Other nearby attractions include the Masonic Caves, Black Chasm Caverns, Indian Grinding Rocks State Park, Kirkwood Ski Resort and the historic towns of Volcano and Jackson.

New Melones Lake

New Melones Lake is located off Highway 49 between Angels Camp and Sonora. This large lake is nestled in the rolling hills of Gold Country. Activities include boating, water skiing, houseboating, swimming, fishing, camping, hiking and mountain biking. Several marinas offer rental options throughout the lake. Other nearby attractions include Calaveras Big Trees State Park, golfing, snow skiing, caverns and wineries.

Don Pedro Lake is located off Highway 132 east of Modesto. This large lake is nestled in the oak trees and rolling hills of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Activities include boating, water skiing, houseboating, sailing, swimming, fishing, camping, hiking and mountain biking. Two marinas offer full service including equipment rentals.
